International 48 Fest

Staying Alive (MTV) will host a short-film competition from July 3-5 in Nairobi, Kenya. Contestants will comprise of youth from all over the world, who are also delegates to the International Women’s Summit. The young filmmakers will be divided into teams, each team will create a three-minute film that focuses on an HIV and AIDS-themed subjects, including condom use, delaying or abstaining from sex, testing, violence against women, discrimination, stigma. The films must be scripted, filmed and produced in just 48 hours! The films will be screened at an Awards Ceremony on July 5 where the winner will be announced.

Staying Alive is a multimedia global HIV and AIDS prevention campaign that challenges stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS as well as empowers young people to protect themselves from infection.
