none Positive Women – Moving Policy Into Action
6th July Breakout Sessions

How are positive women mobilising to address HIV and AIDS? This session looks at the leadership being provided by women living with HIV in communities, as well as the key issues affecting their lives. It will examine current challenges facing positive women while providing solutions for the way forward. Strategies for addressing stigma, discrimination and gender inequalities that fuel the epidemic will be explored through the session, as well as the sexual and reproductive health and rights of positive women and girls. The session will also highlight the impact of economic empowerment and affordable care and treatment on enabling positive women to live healthy and productive lives. This is a unique chance to listen and learn from positive women’s experiences in responding to HIV and AIDS in their daily lives.
