International Positive women: Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Building on discussions begun at the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto, Canada in 2006 regarding HIV positive women and sexual and reproductive rights this Town Hall Forum aims to:

  • Provide a public forum for HIV positive women from Kenya and around the world to discuss issues that relate to the sexual and reproductive rights of HIV positive women including the challenges that impact the enjoyment of these rights
  • Highlight innovative work being done to advocate for the sexual and reproductive rights of HIV positive women
  • Promote women’s leadership
  • Link global and local voices
  • Bridge the HIV, gender, human rights, and reproductive and sexual health communities

Through a focus on:

  • Healthy, safe motherhood
  • Comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services
  • Reproductive choice
  • Sexuality
  • Sexual violence
