World YWCA President 2003-2007
Monica Zetzsche's vision for the movement: I strongly believe we have to in vest in media exposure at world level, which will allow us to enhance the strengths we have, to exist, to be present, to convoke. This will help not only in the fundraising campaign but also in increasing the number of volunteers involved. Be careful and focused on the issues we are addressing. Be able to adapt the strategic plan to a changing world where wars blow up, economic crises arise day by day and terrible pandemics show up but always keep the outstanding organisational values and ethical principles”.
