International Planning a Round-the-World Breakfast
Round the world breakfast in Taiwan
Taiwan hold a special breakfast for the Round-The-World Breakfast, 2003
On April 24, you can join the YWCA Round-the-World Breakfast by organising an event in your town, village or city. It is important to choose a time and event that best suits your local culture and customs, and will attract maximum participation.

Below are some ideas and tips to help you plan a successful Round-the-World breakfast

What is the YWCA round-the-world breakfast?

The round-the-world breakfast is an opportunity to:

  • Celebrate women's leadership
  • Increase your community's knowledge about the worldwide work of the YWCA
  • Raise the profile of the YWCA in your community by hosting an event of interest to local, national or international press
  • Expand your fundraising for the Global Campaign to ensure that the YWCA can continue to empower women leaders of the future

What makes this breakfast special?

On April 24, many YWCAs around the world host a breakfast to celebrate women's leadership, the work of the YWCA and raise funds for the Global Campaign. This means that for 24 hours groups of women will have breakfast and celebrate our history and our future. Throughout this day, updates are posted on the World YWCA website as reports and pictures of the breakfasts arrive at the World YWCA office.
