Svetlana was the founder of the YWCA of Belarus. She inspired and encouraged many women to join the movement by always examplyifing her outstanding leadership abilities.
Her every day life is based on the values and principles of the YWCA movement. Solidarity, empowerment, faith, dedication, mercy and repsect are just some of the values Svetlana displays. Her creativity in searching for solutions to difficult problems, galvanising efforts of volunteers, members, state officials, activists and international representatives makes her a role model for so many Eastern European women.
Svetlena has often been referred to as the link between generations at the YWCA of Belarus and continues to support the YWCA of Belarus today.
