Globally, YWCAs in 57 countries are actively engaged in advocacy for the protection of the human rights of women and children, and almost all YWCAs contribute to advancing human rights through their grassroots programmes and partnerships. Violence against women, in particular, is a major priority at the local level with 62 countries involved in the provision of violence prevention and support services.
