International Olive Tree
“The greatest message is to keep hope alive. I feel it in the eyes of the children when I visit the schools. Those eyes challenge me to keep hope alive.”
-- Abla Nasir, General Secretary, YWCA of Palestine

The situation in Israel and Palestine is one of the world’s most enduring and complex conflicts. Among the many hardships of war, poverty, desperation and hopelessness thrive as conflicts endure. The Olive Tree Project seeks to counter that hopelessness.

Olive trees are a symbol of hope for the Palestinian people. The Olive Tree campaign aims to replant 50,000 olive trees that have been uprooted or destroyed in Occupied Palestinian Territories. For only US $20 you can contribute a tree to this effort. These trees give hope to those who depend on them for their livelihood, and reaffirm the commitment to working towards a just peace for all who witness their renewal.

Contact the YWCA of Palestine at ywca@ywca-palestine.org to buy your olive tree today. Give the gift of hope today.
