The YWCA is a volunteer movement, made up of women giving as much or as little of their time, talent and treasure as they can afford. Together these offerings translate into homes being rebuilt after natural and man made disasters, street children being fed and educated, and safe houses for women fleeing abusive partners. It is volunteers that enable everyday miracles to be achieved with scanty and uncertain resources. Volunteers bring creative problem solving, rejuvenating energy, and relief to overworked staff.
