HIV and AIDS is the largest global emergency to face women and girls in our lifetime. Women and girls are both socially and biologically more vulnerable to infection than men and boys. However, women and girls are at the frontlines of the fight against this pandemic that affects us all so deeply.
A large part of women’s continued vulnerability rests on their restricted access to information and resources. These features offer a deeper look into key issues around HIV and AIDS and the ways in which women are effectively responding to HIV and AIDS in their communities.
