A one day Positive Women’s Forum will kick off the event on July 4, 2007, ensuring positive women have a space to mobilise and determine key issues to be addressed through the IWS. From July 5-7, 2007, plenary and high level breakout sessions will explore a range of issues related to the AIDS response for women and girls including women’s rights, religion, violence against women, trade, children, representation in decision making and investing more resources for women. Dozens of workshops on intersecting issues and capacity building needs will also be held, along with town hall meetings on cutting edge issues. The Women Leading Change Awards will honour exceptional leaders working in the heart of communities to lead change on HIV and AIDS; and the Sokoni marketplace will be an ideal place for networking, sharing resources, seeking advice and buying local products.
Register now online to be part of a new vision for women’s leadership on HIV and AIDS. Proposals for workshops at the Summit are currently being accepted, as are nominations for the Women Leading Change Awards, but get in early to avoid missing out.
