The YWCA of Georgia say 'no' to human trafficking
Trafficking of women and girls in Georgia is an issue the YWCA of Georgia addresses daily. As Georgia is often used as a base to transport women throughout Europe, Georgian women and girls are vulnerable to kidnapping and forced prostitution.

Natallia Alexsandrovich, Programme Director for Europe will visit the YWCA of Georgia from May 8 – 11. “We will explore and learn more about their work on trafficking in the Eastern European region as well as hear more about a dynamic programme the YWCA of Georgia has been running that focuses on HIV and orphans,” said Aleksandrovich.

Alexsandrovich will also attend the YWCA of Armenia’s first national meeting. “Armenia is a developing YWCA, but this will be an exciting meeting. There will be representatives from four local associations attending.”
