- Prevention, with a focus on positive prevention
- Sexual and reproductive health and rights of people living with HIV
- Criminalisation of the transmission of HIV
- Cross cutting issues include women and most at-risk groups
LIVING 2008: The Positive Leadership Summit is the 12th international conference for people living with HIV since 1987. The last Summits organised in Trinidad/Tobago in 2001 and in Uganda in 2003 brought together up to 800 people living with HIV from up to 84 countries.
Living 2008: the Positive Leadership Summit is organised by the Living 2008 Partnership, a consortium of organisations committed to strengthening the movement of people living with HIV and their communities.
Registration and Scholarship
The number of participants to LIVING 2008 is limited to approximately 300 delegates. Being a conference for people living with HIV, all the delegates will be living with HIV.
As it is recognised that many of the delegates will be working in a volunteer capacity in community level organisations, an extensive scholarship program has been set up. Scholarships will cover both the Living 2008 as well as the IAC. 300 scholarships are available. Application to participate in the Summit has started through the AIDS 2008 International scholarship programme. Scholarship procedure closes on February 26, 2008 .
